4.THE SUN AND THE WIND MAESTRAL
The town of Perast faces the sun. It is exposed due south. The greatest number of sunny hours , while some nearby settlements do not see the Sun during winter.
A narrow strait Verige is directly oriented to the town. The Maestral comes through it.
A miraculous gentle breeze. Each summer day during the warm hours it refreshes Perast exposing it to warm mediterranean sun.
This is not the case with Kotor and Risan. Only Perast.
The sun and maestral give a characteristic atmosphere. All the buildings face them.
This is not the case with the rainy south wind. Only the sides of the houses are exposed to its gusts.
Nor the cold buras from Orahovac or Risan. Perast hides behind and gathers together in front of their brightness.
