31.THE LADY OF KARMEN
It is said that it was built by the Balovichs. It has been mentioned from the middle of the 17th century.
The Balovichs tomb from 1718. is the oldest in the church.
The Lady of Karmen rises on the east of Perast. It is beginning of Strada Maestra. Beneath Poshovo- the point of the protection of the town.
There is a small square in front of the Lady. For meetings. Processions. Carnival days.
The church bell "preslica" is on the side. (Not above the porta.) The motive faces the street. To the town, not the sea. Exceptional for Perast.
The base of the church is the cross with equal branches.
The stairs leading to the choir is not typical. Done on the western outside wall.
Disconnected baroque triangle above portal. And a rosette.
Renaissance like nishe with Madona.
The stone was dug out here in "Luka". It was artistically arranged in the harmonious church.
