They founded the Lady of Karmen church.
They are important historians. Julije Balovich wrote the Chronicle (1714).
Also, they are famous for poetry. The Balovich's book of poetry consists of a saved transcript of old epic poems-«bugarstice».
The first Balovich's house was on the north of the Viskovich palace.
The new palace was built in the middle of 18th century. Above the «Bizantina». Next to the Mazarevichs.Its base is Venetian. The hall is between four rooms.
The plate about Njegosh's staying here in 1846. emphasises the importance of the palace.
