45."PONTES" AND BEACHES
Small quays are a part of classic coast of Perast.
A few squares built in the sea.
An approach and a shelter for boats.
Pontes are always enriched with something. Stone seat. A post for tying. Evergreens.
The people from Perast had a feeling for connecting the sea and the land.
They were a part of the yards. They are now separated by the road from the houses.
"Spjaze" are public spaces between the sea and the Main street.
A few of the widenings of Strada maestra became town's squares and had corresponding treatment.
Others were left as graveled beaches. Sailing vessels were pulled out there.
As long as they lasted.
