35.INSCRIPTIONS AND INSIGNIA
The necessity of the town to give the evidence of its history was inscribed in the stone walls of Perast. There are more than ten inscriptions. They can be seen around the former Martinovich's tower:
Alexander boy's stela from the antique Greek period.
A note from the Roman era.
A plate about governer Zrinjski 's visit.
An inscription about the erection of St. Nickola's church tower.
The coat of arms on palaces and churches give evidence of the aristocratic character of Perast. Authentic Slovenian nobility. Twelve brotherhood - "kasada".
Their coats of arms have been soaring for centuries above citizans.
And above all- the coat of arms of Perast.
